Flushmate to Hummel South America, the half interest $180,000 top-selling bull at the 2021 ‘A Night at Remington Park’ sale that was held in conjunction with the Cattleman’s Congress, purchased by Coleman Angus. Argentine’s Dam, Rubeta Fontana 7367-TE, otherwise known as “Tank,” is an absolute beast with a next-level amount of rib shape, red meat, skeletal build, and an incredible phenotype. His sire, Don Aparicio Serrucho 57, was the Grand Champion Bull in 2015 at the world-famous Palermo Angus show. ‘Argentine’ himself is carrying an abundance of muscle, style, and overall balance, with an excellent hip and hind leg that caught many breeders’ eyes when on display at Cattleman’s Congress. Look for Argentine to produce practical, real-world sons and daughters that come with the added stoutness and power that the industry is currently seeking. Change is happening, and Argentine is the bull that can accommodate. Some people have given up on the concept that one animal can work both in the real world and the show ring. The selection pressure and discipline illustrated by the top breeders in Argentina has allowed for the creation of a unique beast. Argentine is an excellent choice if you are looking for an outcross sire that can generate functional cattle with a quality look. Take advantage when opportunity presents itself. It is always better to lead than follow.
